Pics of the Day - July 23, 2011 - Classic Tarzan Boy Tommy Carlton in Tarzan's Savage Fury
Actor - Tommy Carlton
Genre - Young actor Tommy Carlton plays a version of Boy as Joey in "Tarzan's Savage Fury" with Lex Barker
Note the censors were all over the studios with the belly button situation not being able to be shown on Tarzan (mainly due to Jane) but never gave any flack on any of the Boys.

DeleteTommy (Acker) Carlton was my favorite Tarzan Boy when I was a kid. The old Tarzan films were shown on tv. Tommy was a member of "The Carltons", a family acrobatic troop that performed in night clubs in the Mid-West in the 1940s-1950s. This film was sadly his only film role, the family needed him to perform.
ReplyDeleteTommy was very well-built for a kid his age because of the involvement of acrobatics with his family. So he was a very good candidate for the role of Joey in 1952. Along with that, his charming appearance and personality seemed to help, as well! Good pictures! Thanks for posting!
